Voor de Haagse 'omgevingsvisie' hebben leerlingen van de Johan de Wittgroep een ontwerp gecreëerd om ontmoeting in openbare ruimtes te bevorderen. Het werk is t/m 1 mei op de begane grond van Amare te zien. "Het nodigt uit om foto’s te maken."

Studenten exposeren filmposters voor Movies That Matter

In de poster expositie Movies That Matter x KABK presenteren Grafisch Ontwerp studenten uit het Voorbereinded Jaar van de KABK voor het eerst hun werk aan een openbaar publiek. De posters zijn speciaal gemaakt voor de films van het Movies That Matter Festival en zijn t/m 1 april te zien op het Kunstenplein.

Holland Festival back in The Hague for the 1st time in 35 years

For the first time in 35 years, the Holland Festival will be back in The Hague on June 25 and 26 2025. Amare will present Star Returning by visionary Samoan theatre maker Lemi Ponifasio. The timeless stories of the Chinese Yi people come to life in Ponifasio’s characteristically stylised, music theatre language.

Dit kunstwerk van Jule Doe hangt vanaf nu in Amare

In januari 2025 vond in Amare de interactieve tentoonstelling Bring It Home Sweet Home plaats van de Haagse kunstenaar Jule Doe. Dit was zo’n unieke ervaring, dat Open Amare besloot om een van zijn kunstwerken aan te schaffen: Attentionseeker. Dit kunstwerk is nu voor iedereen te bekijken.

Iconic Michael Kiwanuka kicks off tour in Amare

Loving visuals, crystal clear vocals, and a very tight band. On Monday 24 February Michael Kiwanuka kicked off his Small Changes tour in Amare. As brilliant as he is, Kiwanuka managed to captivate and intoxicate the entire audience with his warm voice and sensitivity.

For five years, photographer Julia Gat captured the many transformations of the dance piece LOVETRAIN2020, which will soon be performed in Amare. You can admire an exhibition of her photos on the Kunstenplein until 14 March.

3500 visitors celebrate Shiva Festival in Amare

Door zijn collega’s René van Kooten en William Spaaij, die beiden ook Shrek speelden, wordt hij geprezen als een groot talent. Sem van der Hijden kruipt binnenkort in het gifgroene lichaam van Shrek in de gelijknamige, succesvolle musical die op 8 en 9 maart in Amare te zien is.

On Saturday 1 February we proudly welcomed the Bach Collegium Japan to a sold-out Concert Hall in Amare. This world-famous baroque orchestra conducted by Masato Suzuki provided a beautiful programme with Mozart's Requiem.
