Composer Lera Auerbach turns 50 on 21 October 2023. The Hague is celebrating the anniversary with a festival devoted entirely to her work, from 15 to 22 October. Lera Auerbach is an exceptionally versatile artist: besides a composer she is also a concert pianist, conductor, poet and visual artist.
Her repertoire is highly diverse -- both sensitive and bold, earthly and idyllic, contemporary and romantic – and performed on the biggest concert stages worldwide. This multiple-day festival in The Hague includes the performance of a number of remarkable works, an exhibition of her sculptures and aphorisms, lectures and dialogues, and side-by-side projects with the Royal Conservatoire.
